"Saunders, Narh, O'Kine shine at Heinz."

Billed as “Under the Terrible Tent” at Heinz Field, Iron City Boxing’s latest fight night lived up to its billing as the punches were flying from the opening fight.

The co-main event Nov. 24 featured the NABC world cruiserweight champion Rayco “War” Saunders who faced a tough as nails veteran in Anthony Williams from West Virginia.

From the opening second of the first round Saunders was the aggressor.  Saunders came in with lefts to the body followed by rights to the head, leaving Williams to cover up most of the fight as he tried to put some distance between them.

Saunders chased Williams to all four corners at times. When Saunders trapped Williams in the corner, he would land four punch combinations.

For seven rounds, Saunders pummeled his opponent with power punches and regularly threw a left hook to the body that would have taken down a tree. An intentional head butt that infuriated Saunders would be the only real highlight of the fight by Williams, although he would show plenty of heart and ability to withstand punishment.

In round eight, Saunders came out bombing Williams, who was dripping blood from the top of his head but still trash talking from his bleeding lip.

Saunders scored a one-punch knockout with a monster overhand right that would have dropped anyone.

“He can take a good punch,” Saunders said after the bout.  “And he took a lot, which was bad for him.”
