....Rayco lives in Beltzhoover Pittsburgh, PA. He was raised on both Northside and the Southside. Life was hard for Rayco growing up in Pittsburgh during the time of gang wars, drugs, and death without his mother or father. “It was a WAR between Rayco’s fate and destiny” Which is why he adopted the fight name WAR.
....Rayco took an interest in boxing at an early age while watching fighters like Marvin Hagler, Sugar Ray Leonard, Bruce Lee, Thomas Hearns, and the Spinx Brothers.
....He started boxing in 1995 for Brookline’s Charlie’s Angels. As an Amateur fighter Rayco had many accomplishments, such as being the Pittsburgh Golden Glove Champion in 1996, 2001, and 2002, Pennsylvania Golden Gloves State Champion in 2002, only fighter from Western Pennsylvania to make it to the Golden Glove Nationals in Denver, Colorado in 2002. After his outstanding Amateur career, Rayco decided it was time to turn Pro in August of 2002.
