"Sin City Boxing:'A Happy Fighter is a Better Fighter.'"
To become a world class fighter you need a accumulation of accolades that factor in the mix. First of all you have to have dedication, without that devotion to the ‘sweet science’ you will never get your feet off the ground, of course skill, without the ability to throw a punch take one or even learn to do so maybe the fight world isn’t for you, throw in a trainer who knows his stuff and all you need is a good management team to build your career and hopefully with time and all the above you will reach the pinnacle of boxing.

All mentioned is important characteristics to have while trying to find greatness in the sport that can without a doubt be cut throat at times, even with the attributes of a talented fighter you need to have a
team behind you whom you can trust in guiding you to the top, and this is where Sin City Boxing Management comes into play, if you have the dedication, willingness to learn and ability to do so but need the team to get you to the next level, then read on because this article is for you.

“We basically started this management company because we got tired of seeing fighters be taken advantage of,” explained one of the founding members Macke Roberts, “We offer our fighters investment/financial planning, marketing, sound advisement on selecting the right fights to take your career to the next level, opportunities to fight on TV, sponsorship/endorsement opportunities, promotional deals, cross promotion opportunities thru television, film, music video, print advertisements and much more, we believe a happy fighter is a better fighter, we want to make sure that at the end of the day the fighter has something to look forward too.”

All though the Vegas based Management Company has only been around four months the co-managers Macke Roberts and Nick Sampson have a combined fifteen years experience in the business of boxing. Roberts, who also is the voice of Fight to the Finish boxing radio show is a former match maker for various promotional companies and served on the Georgia Commission as well as advised former notable fighters. Sampson has had his hand in former management and training camps so they identify with the business on the inside and out.

With other management companies out there in the industry there has to be separation, and Roberts explains what differs Sin City Boxing Management from other companies, “Our motto is, a happy fighter is a better fighter, we want our fighters to be totally focused on training hard and to be prepared mentally, we care for our fighters, we don’t work with a fighter just to get a buck, we care for these guys and we want them to be the best they can be while they are in the game.”

The company is in negotiations with numerous professionals at this time and just inked the twenty-three fight veteran and former NABC Cruiserweight champion Rayco Saunders to a lucrative deal. Roberts and Sampson predict big things in the future for both sides of the team with this signing. “We are also talking with some top twenty top ten fighters but we aren’t going to namedrop at this time,” explains Roberts, “We are real picky who we work with, we want it to be a good fit for both sides.”

What qualifications is the management company asking for?

Macke Roberts explains, “We are looking for world class fighters, we are looking for talented, skilled fighters who want to be a world champion, someone who wants the opportunity and may not have gotten it. We are old school and believe in working hard so you must work hard to be part of Sin City Boxing Management.

“We are currently looking for world class fighters that are in need of good management,” continues Roberts. “We also are looking for fighters who believe in themselves. We at Sin City Boxing Management are easy to get along with and we definitely believe in a strong foundation with our fighters. A fighter needs a good solid team behind them to maximize their potential in the boxing game and we will provide that for our fighters.”

In closing Roberts added, “We go above and beyond to give our fighters every advantage as humanly possible to get the win. We put the fighters first and want them to be happy and to reach their goals and their dreams and take care of their families. We look at fighters as people and we will do our best at guiding them.”
